He studied at the Brno Conservatory (trumpet) and the JAMU (conducting). After a three-year engagement in the North Bohemian State Philharmonic Orchestra, he returned to Brno becoming a singing coach, conductor of the chorus and conductor of the opera group of the Reduta Theatre, conductor of the chorus of the Brno Philharmonic Chorus and music director in the Czech Radio. He teaches conducting at the JAMU and is a guest conductor in many symphonic orchestras. Since1991, he has been working together with the Brno City Theatre (A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Bastard, West Side Story, Radúz and Mahulena, Babylon).
