Born on 12th September 1951 in Košice
Graduating from Brno Conservatoire (violin) and JAMU (composition), he worked at a number of theatres all around the country where he wrote scenic music for performances, or played in an orchestra. In mid-80's, after having worked at theatres in Hradec Králové, Liberec and Šumperk, he started collaboration with the State Theatre in Brno, and at the beginning of the 90's he got involved in musical productions. Together with the librettist František Zacharník, he is the author of music for musical fairy-tales produced by the State theatre musical theatre – Mowgli and Tuze pyšná princezna (A Very Sad Princess). However, he collaborates with other theatres both in and outside Brno – in Cheb, Zlín or Uherské Hradiště.
He has been collaborating with the Municipal Theatre in Brno since the end of the 90's; from 2004 onward he has been employed there as a conductor. He also wrote 5 original musical plays for it, and he took part in a lot of plays as a music arranger or scenic music author.
